i have to respectfully disagree. i agree with your opening statement to an extent but there is clear damage caused by modern presidents. I would have the same top 3 in some form of order. Polk is underrated but the way he got the shit done was shady and loses points. Jfk accomplished very little and got us on the path to vietnam. He was in office less than 3 years. cuban middle crisis was huge but i would put him outside the top ten. my ten in no order would be biden, lyndon johnson, both roosevelt, truman, wash, Abe, ike, jefferson, and idk for 10

Surprised FDR didn’t make the list but I like it. I agree with not being to judge a President for many years. Other than Trump. There’s zero percent chance he’s a good President.

I think JFK was overrated. The failed Bay of Pigs invasion kind of led to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Early in his term he moved cautiously with civil rights.
