How much he sincerely cares about the medium like it’s his religion. His knowledge of the history of this medium was born and revolutionized. Every time I listen to this man discuss Cinema, it makes me remember why I fell in love with it in the first place. Exactly like he’s talking about at the end. The way images, metaphors, symbols, etc, get etched into your psyche forever. How they influence you subconsciously. Influence every creative act endeavor. It’s beautiful. Thank God for this man. What are YOUR thoughts on film school? I’ve posted this before. Always like starting up the conversation again. Love what he says. And I’m sure a lot of it is still true today. But I also think it depends on the person. Film school is what you make of it, right? If you go with the intention to learn as much as possible, and you use the resources to get yourself ahead. Make films. It’s amazing. But if you go thinking it’s THE answer, and end up getting lazy, then it sucks. Like anything else. But I don’t like the idea of getting ideology crammed in your mind. Especially about art and creativity. Always have to be aware of that. But what do you think?
