The worst is that you pay these taxes and most of it goes to foreign aid, egregious social programs and newcomers! It’s actually so frustrating! We should be an extremely wealthy country!

So shocked how many people don’t know our tax rates on income. If you actually calculate sales tax car, taxes, fuel taxes, and taxes that you don’t even see the average person pays 65% of the money they make to the government 53% is only the taxes that you would visibly see if you make over 250,000… There are so many hidden taxes here that over a lifetime you absolutely are paying close to 60% of everything you ever made to the government and that doesn’t matter what tax bracket you’re in. This doesn’t even include corporation taxes if you own a corporation and God forbid you have capital gains on top of that for higher earners you can easily pay 70% of everything you’ve made in your life to the government

People acting like having safety nets and social security is a bad thing- y'all are just asking for Boomers to pull that ladder up behind them too and leave us with no social security when we can't work. I'm not saying our taxes are always put to the best interests of everyone- but that is what we SHOULD be protesting for; not dismantling the framework we all are gonna have to rely on.

I love paying taxes so the goverment has more to waste then giving back to canadians. Makes me so happy to know my kids will never own a home but hey we have healthcare thats "free" even though we pay for it to not be seen for months.
