I agree, The Big Three isn’t called what it is because they’re the best three animes. It’s all based on statistics of sales, I’m not saying they’re bad or anything, the fans just push the title past its limits and make it seem like every other anime is nowhere near as good as theirs.

60% is insane. That has gotta be one of the most philosophically complex casts in anime. Male AND female. The fact the women are written well like the men is what is important to female watchers.

I love these takes tbh and heavy on 50%. Only one I rlly disagree w is the foreshadowing one. Also I hate to say it, but sometimes I feel like the way aot women are written is unrealistic. Like no, Mikasa cannot take down 30 men single handedly 😭

Ughh soo heavy on 60%. So many people overhype the female cast in aot just because they aren’t sexualized but none of them ACTUALLY have depth and don’t even get me started on the mikasa glaze just because she’s physically strong.

Imo foreshadowing is pretty important for plot twists, character development for example. Without it, a character change feels like it came out of nowhere, because it did. Without at least a little foreshadowing I dont think “wow that makes so much sense now” and instead think “wow i litterally couldn’t have known that at all” it kinda feels cheap

I simply cannot agree with 90% foreshadowing isn’t overrated. The issue is that 9 times out of 10 it isn’t well done.

I wouldn't say the aot female cast is overrated, imo (during the time aot came out) they were some of the first to pave the way towards a completely unsexualized representation of female characters and actually proved how each woman was strong in her own way. As a young girl at the time, it was so refreshing to see that not all girls are just a body but could have the same powers as the male lead does, become the scout regiment captain, deal with the same traumatic experiences the men do, be heavily involved in the political state of the world, etc. I think each of them had a great story, while some were more fleshed out than others, that doesnt make then badly written or overrated.

When it come to sexualization in anime I think we can all agree it’s wrong but there’s levels of it that’s digestible depending on frequency, timing, context, etc. personally I’d take the sexualization in berserk before mushoku tensei or fire force anyday

on the second point you made I agree and disagree while your point is valid yes for some people they will find the show good because of that reason. a good show is a subjective term because while I like No Game No Life very much and it's my fav Anime at the same time some people might say that I'm acoustic because I like that show or that I have no taste and such.

Nah 2010's Shojo glaze is kinda warrented. You named way too mamy bangers from that era alone for it to not warrant Glaze. Yona of the Dawn and Requiem of the Rose King being in the 2010's alone makes is a worthy era on those alone. 90's and 2010's Shojo is legendary

70% is true, I understand we gotta be more fair in terms of how much fan service and sexualisation that goes into females or in general. But some specific animes make is so noticeable that it EXTREMELY ruins the experience. No amount of good story or plot can cover an uncomfortable watcher. Your experience w the show is highly important, it can greaten/lessen how you feel generally.
