No, it goes back further. These ideas were always around, but it took a generation that didn't live through the hardships of the Great Depression and faced hardships of the 70's to think a complete opposite approach was necessary.

Read "A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn. You will clearly see that we have had the same plan and same dynamics operating our country since the 1600's. And the plan has been working all along. Reagan is just a more recent manifestation.

I’m 65. I have despised Reagan forever it feels like. The roots of all that is wrong go back further than him. But he put a nice face on it all, a “reasonable” one. It was BS, but white folk in particular ate his shtick up.
