@katemlowery: Hot Take: putting down others when you haven’t even gotten a taste of what this life is like, doesn’t make you a better wife. I almost hear Uncle Sam typing up orders as we speak 😌 #militarylife #militarywife #militaryspouse #milso
I truly believe that if you are so incredibly independent that you don’t miss your husband or like are sad when they go on deployments then you never truly loved them in the first place. Like I can be completely independent, but when it comes to my husband, no ma’am, I don’t want to be I need him just to open up my m&ms, that’s the whole point of being married to somebody is to do life together.

i’m a new milso and it’s already hard with him being gone all the time even just for trainings. we’ve gone through the distance before we got married (basic, and other schooling) and most importantly he’s my best friend. so while i do things alone i absolutely miss him 24/7 and dread the thought of him leaving.

I’m very independent but when it comes to my husband when he’s around I lose that all lol. I work and have my own responsibilities, I run a whole BX myself but without my husband I’m lost and that is hard

I just got married in March. I’m barely starting out but I have been through long trainings, months and months away from him. And living my life independent with a job. But I KNOW how hard it is. Especially now being overseas away from family and friends.

When I was married to my military ex husband I never missed him on deployment. Life with two kids was easier. That was my ignored red flag. 20 years later, if my husband (not the same husband 😅) leaves for two days I’m SAD. Like don’t ever leave! If she doesn’t miss him…I fear she probably doesn’t feel a type of way for her man.

The worst of it isn’t even my husband being gone, it’s the being far away from everyone I know, having to move at 4 weeks postpartum, etc

Yea I’m completely independent but I miss him sooooo much. The loneliness I feel when I’m just watching a show in our bed or the quiet room I sit in cause he’s not there to talk to. Or the things I do alone for our kids and seeing other dads there and other families complete. Yea I just want him back already but I understand and I feel you on telling your kids. My son just turned 4 and he misses his dad and I’m always having to say he’s working.

I’m dual mil with kids and have been a dependent. Life as a dependent was easy compared to now I just didn’t know it at the time cause that’s all I experienced. Still hard tho just could always be harder

It's giving "I can do it better than you" and it's like oh? Sorry I love my husband and hate having to raise our daughter without her dad being apart of her daily life for months on end. My bad?

I’m very supportive of deployment’s & tdy’s I encourage my husband to take those opportunities—he does the same for me. But we still miss each other. My husband is stationed at a base with no dependents for a year. An entire year he’s with his wife, without his child, in an entirely new country navigating an unfamiliar lifestyle. & it’s ok if we have hard days, and need to vent about it.

Being away from your loved ones is so hard! No one knows how it is unless your spouse is active duty. People just don’t know how it is

i saw someone say “well she can have her opinion and you can have yours” like you can not insult other women in your community and not expect backlash

I never did deployment but like even that was hard. But I also had to deal with his abusive unit. She got lucky with a good unit wanna bet.

I like how melting stuff say I'm going through a deployment you are a spouse that has a husband to play cuz he's the one going through the deployment and doing what it's got to do to provide for his family so let's clarify this
