@hmsander_: this will be my second birth, with my first I had an intrathecal and I love how quickly it wore off. However I’m seeing so many befits in women’s pp with unmedicated births. What did you have, did you love it, did you hate it? #fypシ゚viral

Hi!! Since it’s your second birth, an unmediated birth might be worth a shot! Usually the second birth is a lot quicker/easier. Of course, make sure you’re birthing in a hospital. A lot of people have natural births at home and when things go wrong, sometimes there isn’t enough time to get to the hospital. Definitely weigh the pros and cons :)

I’m doing it natural. Pain is subjective and only temporary. Your body was made to do this unmedicated it’s what we are built for🤎 you got this momma just go into KNOWING YOU CAN

My first was medicated and I couldn’t feel my legs for two days, bad! Second I went unmedicated, fast recovery. Yes it’s painful but fleeting. Do what you feel is best for you and your baby. Good luck and congratulations 😁

Do it!!! I’ve had two unmedicated births after having a medicated with my first and going unmedicated made SUCH a huge difference with recovery!

You could try a water birth I’ve always heard that it’s a good pain reliever , birthing combs help and you could learn how to do labored breathing!

Had my third totally unmediated. I was too far by the time I got to the hospital. It is hard but fast and you can always ask for something. 🥰

I did not have an unmediated birth I did go 48 out of the 52 hours I was in labor without an epidural but I was exhausted I then ended up with a c section at 8 cm kiddo wasn’t tolerating contractions any more but what I can tell you is if you really want to go unmediated just try it out just keep telling yourself to wait you know your body you know what you can handle in the moment good luck!

I want my next to be unmedicated, but with my first I kept telling myself there is nothing wrong with getting medication last second. Which I did. I labored at home for 20 hours, went into the hospital at 8cm dilated… couldn’t control my breathing and ultimately ended up getting the epidural at 9cm!! I’ll try again next time but do what feels right for you and your body!

Your nuts!! I did it on medicated birth with you for 13 and 1/2 hours of Labor. In all seriousness, if that's something you want to explore, I say go for it, but also please remind yourself that it is completely okay to have pain relief while you're bringing new life into the world

whatever option you choose is great! i tried for an unmedicated birth for my 2nd baby. my labor was 3 hours long, but i chickened out and got the epidural at 10cm. i had full mobility, was able to feel mild to moderate pain (my choice for a lower dose epidural), and felt crowning. both babies, i had the epidural and my recovery was so fast both times. i was up walking within an hour of delivering both and felt great!
