So children under the age of 18 are not getting gender affirming surgeries and if they are, that is between them, their parents, and their medical professionals. The 19 age limit is intentional. It will increase very quickly, meaning soon you will have to be 21 for GAC.

I could care less if an ADULT wants to change their gender. Working psych I’ve cared for pts who have transitioned as kids are now wanting to detransition and have no support. Or they weren’t able to fully grasp the seriousness of transitioning and having issues in the long run. I had a pt who didn’t understand that they needed to dilate for the rest of their lives because they were either too young to fully understand

Certain plastic surgery procedures should be paused too then. There are minors who get nose jobs, breast augmentations, fillers etc w/ parental consent. Those are also gender affirming but no one talks about that.
