We have freedom of religion where I’m from but my old workplace tried to make it seem like I couldn’t pray… so I made sure to pray in visible areas. Ain’t no way you’re getting between me and GOD.

I'm a California native. I recently moved to Oklahoma. An attorney interviewing me said "Okay you know Spanish"...I went into detail about how I've used it in previous jobs. (Usual ask of applicants to see your knowledge). She then asked "How long have you known it?" My whole life. "Do your siblings speak Spanish?"...I said I'm Mexican I'm not sure what you're asking..." She then asked about my salary requirements. I said #### (middle of the salary offered on the post). She said I've never heard of anyone getting paid that much in this role. It felt weird in addition to other things here. I felt like i wasted time and felt bad. I was excited for the job, I would've taken the pay cut.

i’ll never forget going to Ash Wednesday with a friend and her family and a yt person asks me at the store with her if black people were really allowed to attend and participate i was so irritated 😒
