I agree with all your points but for me personally I would like to add the fact that you can’t control the baby’s health. Like I cannot imagine loving your child so much n losing them to cancer before they get to walk or speak! I could never!!!

As a mom, I applaud women that decide to not have kids. It’s an incredibly mature decision to know yourself enough to know that you don’t want kids. It’s WAY worse to have kids you might not want and yet that’s completely normalized. Also I had a horrible birth experience SO I GET IT 😭

I have flipped back, and forth with the idea of having children, and have ultimately decided not to birth any children in my life time. I was adopted, and I think if I were to have children, I would adopt, but not until I am stable to have a kid, which won’t be for a while and I am already 35. I do tend to have maternal tendencies, but have used them to nurture my pets, my parents, I work in a healing home with children in thr system and that has helped finding other ways to love then being a mother.

Let’s not forget the whole climate crisis we’re in… I don’t want to put a child in such an unstable world. Not only putting more humans into this world is making the problem worse… I also don’t want my children to have to deal with it. I can’t even be sure that my children will have clean food and water??

Exactly this! Except I had a very under-privileged upbringing but that led me to the same conclusion that it’s almost impossible for a millennial to achieve the level of privilege required to have kids. And one thing to add is that I inherited so much generational trauma from my parents and I’m just not healed enough to bring a child into this world. My parents were not healed enough and it became my problem. I wouldn’t want to do that to my kids.

I feel this in my bones. I just don’t desire to be a mom, my upbringing was chaotic and as an adult I just want to do me and enjoy my life with my partner. We have fur babies and that’s allot of work. I have so much respect for both child free women and women with children. As a social worker I just don’t see how I can possibly provide an adequate life for a small human.

I told my mom when I was 5 I didn’t want kids. I’m 45 and no regrets. I do what I want when I want, and spend my money how I want.

I’m also a Capricorn and feel all these points 1000%. ‼️‼️I also have multiple phobias, and getting pregnant/ having a baby is part of them! And as a chronically ill girly, it doesn’t seem ideal to have children when I can barely take care of myself ❤️🩹

I have 2 kids and I use to want to be child free. We decided to start having kids after being together for 8 years. Looking at the world now, I apologize to my kids almost daily for having them live through this. We are considered “upper middle class” but the way they take half of our checks even with 2 kids and we still owe tax season makes me want to cry because those thousands could have went on our kids accounts for college or for whatever they want to do after high school. 🤦🏾♀️anyways, I’m happy for you. I’m actually happy for all women that choose to not give birth. I actually wouldn’t have kids if my old dr didn’t say “your future husband is going to be mad at me if I tied your tubes, so I’m not doing it” I was 19 years old!!!!! I’m so happy that my OBGYN was like “nah, well take out your tubes before we close you up after the C-section.” She did let ask my husband, just handed me a piece of paper and said “no more kids!” I wish I had her when I was 19!

I used to have nightmares about the actual birth of a child as a kid and I thought you HAD to have one at least. No thanks! I am 46 and no regrets 👌🏻 also, a Capricorn!
