Now it’s our favorite family tradition. ✨ On New Year’s Eve a decade ago, we each wrote 5 surprise destinations, tossed them in a jar, and pulled one out. Wherever we picked—we’d go. We called it our Dream Jar. We had no idea how that simple idea would shape our lives. Now, as a neurodivergent family raising two autistic kids, this tradition means even more. Because when you’re an autism family, travel takes extra everything. Sensory tools. Routines. Flexibility. Patience. But the Dream Jar taught us: You don’t have to wait until life gets easier to live it. Joy and chaos can exist together.
