From a sober person, people can drink in front of us. sobriety is not conditional on having alcohol in the room or drinking in front of us. In nyc, drinking is a huge part of the culture so while not everyone drinks, there’s definitely a pause when you tell people. My husband is sober too, we met in recovery

I think the main problem with this show is that 30 minutes (less really because of accounting for ads) is not enough time per episode for them to establish the story they want to tell and it seems rushed and chaotic because they are trying to cram an hour worth of content into less than 30 minutes.

I am an alcoholic and I don’t care if people drink around me. I always tell people it’s just like a dietary choice. I never considered that dating a person who still drinks might make them feel some type of way about themselves.

This entire franchise is such an exercise in laziness. Carrie got rid of her apartment. Let’s get her back into it. Carrie and Aidan get together, then break up, then get back together and break up. Miranda’s an alcoholic. No she’s not. Wait, yes she is. ENOUGH.
