After seeing it, I still think Pedro as Reed was a big miscast (at least I saw it first before judging). He has no gravitas to lead a superhero movie and had no chemistry with the other 3 imo.

The female silver surfer is the wife of the man silver surfer from back home. They didn’t swap the gender. There is a female silver surfer a whole other superhero 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I always roll my eyes at gender and race swaps in these movies but there is precedence with the Surfer being female in some alternate realities, which is what this movie takes place in.

The 4 need to be older IMO. They are well regarded scientists. When you factor their years of schooling and then professional years to gain a reputation, they are going to be older.

They must have cut some character development…they needed to have one more scene with Ben and Alicia(Natasha Lyonne) to establish what I am assuming a relationship.

I keep hearing it's choppy as if they cut a lot out? but overall, it's an alright plot, a solid cast, and a fun time.

This age casting is CORRECT despite what fans say. Cast characters by the age they LOOK and NOT the claimed age. The Fantastic 4 NEVER looked young.

as a marvel fan that has kept up with all of the movies and tv shows- your review is pretty accurate to how i felt watching!! there were definitely a few plot issues (i felt like the movie could be longer) and the cgi baby franklin definitely took me out of the movie for a second lol. i think they cut a lot of scenes at the last minute so that could be why it felt a little off. but the visuals (esp bc i love anything to do with space), the music, and the cast kept me engaged enough to give it a 9/10!!!
