@peg_leg_persephone: Took a tumble outside of the prosthesis place 2 days ago on the concrete ... and again as I was leaving. we are now discussing finding out the requirements for surgery if we were approved for me to get #osseointegration I want my life back. the quality has severely dropped these last few years and I desperately want to do things again. its been hard to be on socials other than fb but ew fb. I want to do things without my leg falling off because my weight changed during the day. ao much more you guys have no idea. I miss life. and honestly my head is still messed up from the whole thing at walmart, it makes me randomly cry and makes me want to hide again. wtf is wrong with people? why do i keep having these things happen? each time i go to my car i feel sick thinking about grabbing my door handle and now, we'll i always locked my doors when getting in but now I lock them and wait. wait to see if ill get confused again and not know where I am and the confusion was horrible. and that guy. I vaguely recall what he looked like but there is nothing that I can confirm enough to give to police and since I didnt want to believe I was drugged because that over reacting.. with my health it would be a stroke. many doctor appts and we believe I was drugged. sometimes I just want to hide... and there's the agoraphobia. . . . #peglegpersephone #fyp #prostheticleg #prosthesis #fallinjury #pain #bruised #hippiepirate #mnpenquin #disabled #hopeful #amputee #amputeegirl #mngirl #staypositive #disabled #disabledtiktok #disabledcommunity #depression #imisslife
have you ever talked to Tillges orthotics and prosthetics there in the twin cities? They are using cutting edge technology to build things. I travel 10 hours round trip. they built a pair of C-braces for me

If you’re having issues with volume changes and your socket coming loose, it may be worth asking your prosthetist about trying a different suspension system. I also noticed it looked like you slipped out of your liner as well. Many patients deal with heavy sweating, which can cause extra movement, but if you’re able to pull your limb out of the liner, that usually means you may need to be sized down.
It’s hard to tell what suspension you’re using, but one option to look into is the Coyote Air-Lock system. It combines suction with a pin lock, so the pin keeps you secure while the suction helps reduce pistoning.
Another option that may help is a liner-liner, which can reduce sweating inside the liner and help with overall comfort. I wish I could comment on osseointegration but I’ve got no experience with it.
You can do anything you set your mind to, stay positive. These challenges are frustrating, but with the right adjustments, you’ll get back to where you want to be. Stay determined and give it your all. And if you ever have general questions, feel free to reach out! 🙂
