If you guys read the comics too it follows the story of chloe surviving and throughout the comics the guilt and pain from keeping chloe alive rlly eats and max and chloe. I think it adds some context to why they wouldnt stay together forever.

As someone who picked Chloe because I was roleplaying a teen lesbian who could not loose her first love, I was 100% ok/fully understood why they were broken up. Them not lasting did not surprise me and honestly the fandoms response is truly what surprised me. I don't get how people really thought they would make it long term after everything that went down.

i genuinely think sacrificing the whole town is a selfish choice, maybe thats just me. There are so many people in arcadia bay worth saving, chloe accepted her fate. Death chased her, and death probably kept chasing her after they left arcadia (if you chose to save her)

Chloe also said whatever Max choose she knows she will make the right choice so nothing to forgive. DE just proves that Max and Chloe never should have been brought back their story was done. D9 and SE decided to upset a huge amount of their fanbase and that might just have been the thing that killed the series.

i don't think max and chloe were meant to be. what i mean is that they had to remain JUST best friends, not more. chloe loved rachel and she was NEVER truly over her. at the same time I can't sacrifice chloe, even if I know it would be the best thing since it would give her the chance to get back with rachel: I can't let chloe die in that dirty school's bathroom, thinking nobody loves her. idk guys, it's complicated

I agree!! never played DE, but this made me want to play it ✨️! I love max and chloe , but always thought their relationship was kinda toxic, wich was not easy for me to deal with cause I love chloe, but she also is so so toxic sometimes 🙈 as a lesbian myself, the games give me so many complicated feelings, it exhausting almost! 😅I'm crushing on chloe, but sometimes I feel max and chloe wouldn't chose each other if it weren't for their trauma, and that does not sit right with me idk🙈 that made it quite hard playing max 😅 idk I'm rambling
