As a teacher a lot of times handmade invitations are sent out without parent contact at all. Most parents will either reach out to the parent and double check before making any real plans. I think it is a great life lesson that it isn't going to be "the party in her head", but maybe make it a small day with her new friends where they can go out and do something. The diamond mall has ice skating that is reasonably priced. She can still make memories and do something she wants with her friends, but she can't have a whole party without letting you know ahead of time! Either way I think you have already gone above and beyond for your children and they know how much you care!

I know how feeling my daughter did this last birthday just turned 9 in March. She gave me that very sad face and look so I sucked it up and put it together for her. Then had a nice talk about how we need do better at planning and what not. I’m sorry looking forward for update what you decide

If you are looking for a free place to host a small party, go to Aurora and reserve the Richardson Community Center. It’s right by the space park that they can go play and there’s a kitchen to hold food. You just got to make sure everything is clean afterwards

Dimond mall ice rink party room is about $100! You can bring in food of ur own ! Ship to toy the carlile u can get it here might now be here on time but u can get the ne u want

Did you try classic toys on northern lights behind chuckee cheese or rainbow toys off of Huffman behind the post office for the doll house? The ice rank at dimond mall does parties and always seem to have slots open, I’m unsure of the price range.

Nope. Mine did the same thing and she got a lesson in what not to do. I had to tell her to tell them it was not happening due to her not communicating with me. Money is a huge thing. Food is not cheap. Let alone gifts. Accountability is real.

Also if she just wants to ice skate at dimond. U can walk in and pay skate fees and kids can get ice cream after or something in the food court.

My daughter did this for a playdate with the whole neighborhood when she was 7!! Apparently, she made invites and hand delivered them. There were atleast 15 kids who showed up in their swimsuits for a playdate that also included a pool, snacks, & drinks per the invite. 🤦🏽♀️Lets just say I made a quick commissary run that I was NOT happy about but the kids had fun so I guess it was a win. 😂 These new age kids are something else. 😂
