This is the wrong way to give anyone a service of any kind. However we all react differently for this reason. My way is just agree and let the customer know to have a great day and thank them for coming in. We have our lives and they have theirs. Staying positive is a turn around to any negativity. They might not see it at that point but later hopefully it shall be seen:)
