I believe that if the symbol comes from the country’s history or present it’s allowed to be branded on the vehicle as long as the vehicle is from said country, like a ‘V’ on a BMD-4, the ‘V’ symbol is branded mostly by the VDV so it would be considered fine to brand it as such
