I like Isaiah, but I tend to view him the same way I vewied Dejai Fox. Young, energetic, and definitely has a future in our state and party. But like Dejai, I wish Isaiah would have started with a local/state level race. Earn the stripes, build a history. Work in Houston on the city council or run for state rep. Take time to create rapport with the voters. People need more than they are young and progressive. Just my opinion.

I watched the full speech and melee after. It was definitely performative, BUT I'm glad someone is speaking truth to power about the redistricting scheme. We need more people getting upset about it and putting eyes on the matter.

Spot on in the assessment of the other candidates ceeding TT to Isaiah. I am in the Houston metro and only see his videos pop up on my feed. Ive seen 1 or 2 videos of Christian Menefee but havent seen or heard of the other candidates beyond your commentary.

I also hate that this stunt will possibly overshadow serious candidates like Menefee who will do a much better job as a congressman. Menefee has been giving this state and administration the business in his capacity as county attorney. I also live in TX9 but would vote for Christian in a heartbeat
