Don’t engage with any posts about ilys1892. I Love You Since 1892 should’ve just stayed a book. Not every story needs to be adapted — especially without Marnella as Carmella and Juanito. No one else can bring those roles to life the way they did. They’re literally the faces of the story — they’re what I pictured while reading the book. It’s honestly a huge letdown. Like the author once said herself, “Kung hindi Marnella, wag na lang.” That line stuck with us — and now, it feels like we were let down by someone we truly trusted. We love her, and we always will, but this adaptation just doesn’t feel right. With heavy hearts… we’re saying it: Boycott I Love You Since 1892.
