But the ending ruined fantastic 4. I think anyone who says this movie is better than Superman is just trying to convince themselves it was. The movie was perfect up until it wasn’t. Just reminded me of Ant Man, with how they introduce the big bad just for them to be lack luster. But the whole space scene was absolute cinema

No I agree actually. The whole black hole pocket dimension thing was the lowest point of the movie for me. Not that it was bad, like I get the purpose, it just felt odd. Maybe, out of place? F4 are space explorers who were on a mission in space which made it work. Lex Luthor creating a whole pocket dimension to hate on Superman is hilarious and in character, but it was a little too fantastical. And I can take fantastical, I love fantastical, it’s fantastic! (…say that a-) But there has to be a line, right? The black hole addition was absolute insanity and I got invested when I got used to it, but it felt like… a sequel. Like a sequel that had to be bigger and better than the first one. Except.. it was the first one. Superman was great and I still bought the poster and have it hung above my bed. But Fantastic Four set this scene up, and the whole movie up, to be in the realm of possibility from the beginning.
