@newsweek: Both Republican and Democratic Senators agree that the #JeffreyEpstein files should be released even if President #DonaldTrump is directly named in them. On July 23 a House subcommittee voted to subpoena the Department of Justice for files in the sex trafficking investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and now the #Senate is considering following suit. #news #newsweek #politics #congress
Do we all remember that he literally did not place his hand on the Bible when sworn in?

Everyone’s obsessed that he’s on the list—nobody’s talking about the fact he and Epstein wrote the damn thing.

They are losing the battle to keep it secret so they move to the next (we have all scene it) “yeah he was there but he didn’t do anything wrong”. I think next it “ yes he was involved but it’s not a big deal”

Releasing the 'list' = releasing evidence. Not something prosecutors do prior to filing. I'm not sure people understand this. Even if it were only used in civil damages claims, the $$ would be so high as to literally alter the global economy.

it's telling that Republicans think the president has the right to direct the DOJ to investigate people. this is a clear violation of the constitution which the Republicans seem to just trample over under Trump

If Biden had released the Epstein Files, Trump would have just said that everything about him was a hoax and his people would have been more apt to believe it. Trying to make Reps release it now makes Trump look guilty of something.

It’s time to simply release the full report. It is clear that Trump is afraid of the truth.

It's significant to see bipartisan support in Congress for transparency regarding the Epstein case. Releasing the files could offer crucial insights into the investigation and ensure accountability, regardless of political affiliations.

I see 3 possibilities. 1. There's too much information and they're worried people will infer conclusions based on any name mentioned. 2. The most powerful people in the world took part. 3. The info they have will raise more questions that they don't have the answers to, inciting nationwide anger.
