My friend Thebe Ramokhua and I walked into Damant Bostock & Magang (now Armstrongs), straight to Managing Partner Niel W. Armstrong, and simply asked for an opportunity. We weren’t looking for a salary—we just wanted to work for free and learn. Because we believed: “First you learn, then you earn.” 💡 We were happy to volunteer until we proved ourselves and were paid.
