𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐫 🇬🇧 1963 Bentley S3 Continental Drophead Coupe Twenty-six left-hand drive examples were built of this special S3 Continental Drophead Coupe, and only one of them was delivered new in Belgium. This beautiful S3 with Park Ward bodywork was originally delivered to Alexandre Devis, who owned the car for 25 years. It wasn’t until 1991 that the car passed to the next owner, Aldo Blaton, the brother of racing driver Jean Blaton, who found himself no less than five times on the podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. During Blaton’s ownership, the car underwent a full restoration, including a complete interior overhaul by a prominent Italian specialist. That this is an S3 can be seen, among other things, in the four headlights at the front of this Bentley. Coachbuilders such as HJ Mulliner, Park Ward, and James Young built cars based on a chassis, and in this case, it’s a Park Ward body. The angled placement of the headlights gave rise to the nickname ‘Chinese Eye.’ Today, the Bentley is in an optimal condition. The bodywork is exceptionally well-preserved, with sheet metal, paintwork, and a fit that are so perfect they complement the exclusive character of a Bentley like this wonderfully.
