Honestly most of the time they aren’t teething it’s part of their development at this age to be dribbling put everything in their mouth my lb been doing it for 4 months he’s nearly 7 months still no sign of a tooth. As someone else has said he needs to be able to explore grabbing and his own hands so try keep the mittens just for bed time it’s part of his development

Teetha 3+months teething gel has worked a treat for my little girl as couldn’t have teething powders as a lot have lactose in it and she has CMPA x

The way to tell if their teething is wash your hands thoroughly and then dry them, then rub one of your fingers along his gum, you’ll feel if anything is coming through! That’s what my nurse/midwife taught me!

If you take the mittens off he will still scratch but a lot less. My sons 5 months now and he still does it when he’s tired and grabs his face but he’s got so much better. He’s constantly chewing his hands now lol x

about 3oz of boiling water in a bottle, tip the bottle upside down and pop it in the freezer, take it out for about 10/15 min before you want to use it, works every time for our little boy x

Gummee Gloves were a lifesaver for us! They Velcro onto their hands like mittens but with teething toys attached to them so they can chew!
