how does your office handle patients refusing to give ID, insurance or SS#? Everything policy says we must have e for visit. Our patients act crazy our office manager chases them down in parking lot, gives them a GC to bring them back and not follow policy. 🤯

I've left work because I got hurt and left my purse in the rush, they just looked up my insurance in the database with no problem. it was er, but they told me all networks are connected as long as you have id. thankfully when I renewed my license I requested an email copy with my paper license on it so I had they in my email

I 100% agree with ppl needing to make sure they have those things BUT, doesn't My Chart have all that info? Mine does..So when I get to my appointment I just open my app and give info.

My old insurance didn’t send me a physical card. I had to go on the app and pull it up. I was so frustrated with it, I prefer physical cards cause it’s easier. My new insurance sent me a physical card, and I can pull it up on my app

When we make first time appointments, we always tell people to bring your insurance cards. They walk in the door & we ask them for it and they say I don’t have it. What do you mean, you’re a 1st time patient here why do you not have it with you?

My bestie and I went on a trip and we both told each other where our id and insurance cards are in case of an emergency. Like how do you drive without a license

I frequently had patients say “ my card is in the car”. Why wouldn’t you keep it in your wallet??

That’s insane! I always have my ID and insurance card wherever I go. Always in my wallet. This is literally my mother though. She is one of those patients who just doesn’t care and tried to blame it on being old(72) and says oh just get me next time. It’s so fucking annoying a I don’t even work in reception anymore.
