My husband and I own a drive through daiquiri shop in Monroe La. And it’s not considered open container as long as that paper is on the straw and the straw isn’t in the cup 🤣we also place a piece of tape over the hole of the lid.

FACTS!¡ my man is speakin/g only the trurh, also it's not just New Orleans if you go to North Louisiana to like Baton Rouge🤔 the same rules apply, you don't put the straw through the lid, at the very least you don't take the little prophylactic off the tip😏 P.S. sounds like he might be a mid-westerner, more specifically he sounds like a Minnesotan, but that's ook we take all who seek a home from a North Easterners, mid-westerners, to those crazy west coasters, as long as they don't try to turn our little corner of the world into another California or New York type state, we have enough problems on our own we don't need any of those liberal ideas and their lack of a moral Compass😆
