Monsters and heroes exist in these worlds, period. They no longer have to explain why a giant mole exists or why metropolis could be reunited. That's the magic of comics: they didn't try to convince you with logic, but rather to invite you to imagine without limits. They told you: "Yes, there's a guy with adamantium claws, a god of thunder, a man who shoots webs, and one who runs faster than light... so what?" And you replied: "Perfect! What else are you going to show me?"
