IDK if they are in New York, but the Humane Society thrift store is extremely low priced you can get entire dishware sets and cups and cooking wear for a very low price. And TBH the dollar store has ceramic plates and the knives I bought from there are the best knives I have. I have all of my furniture from thrift stores, offer up, or I snagged from family members. It does take a while to curate a cute living space but once you do it’s wonderful.

My boyfriend and I lived in together to a new state at the end of May and we have never been so poor. Between rent and all the first time apartment purchases. I’m so glad he has rich parents cause we have been saved by then so many times 😭
