I live in UK and have been taken in while cuffed for mental health crisis ambulance means nothing ive been restrained in the middle of a&e too many times

My favorite thing ever working both EMS and ED was explaining to them wasting time and money on an ambulance for a non emergency gets you in the exact same spot as walking in, just with a huge added bill

The best was the lady that was screaming in triage, told me she was leaving to call an ambulance, I explained that didn’t mean she would go straight to a room. Left came back by EMS and still had to wait and start everything over
