the prices of rent these days a lot of people are tripling up meaning some people have 3 generations under 1 roof it seem like pretty soon it's going to have a lot of us living in a tent city

I’m from Brooklyn, New York, left in 2018 and headed south. I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee now and I only pay $1350 for my three bedroom house. With the high rent prices, I could never afford to live in New York City again, so I totally understand how high it is in the north east when it comes to rent..

Nope- we are not doing better. A bunch of folks from NYC are renting in the Mt. Airy area. They are also buying up the homes in this area as well. Go on the Facebook neighborhood groups there are posts about rentals there that come up from time to time.

Have you checked habitat for humanity? It’s not immediate. You would actively participate in your build and your rent is based on your income.

I just looked at a proper pricing IF we got paid the right amount. It said people would need to make $30.32 hr and still a problem depending on neighborhood 🤦🏽♂️it’s all a mess.
