I've said this before and I'll say it again. The people who enjoy south park are leftists who don't get offended by the lack of censorship and usage of slurs, and right wingers who find it hilarious BECAUSE the use of slurs. It has always been liberal and humanitarian politically.

Its a beautiful use of exegerated comedy making fun of the people who care usually. It goes like this. Someone feels this irrational way, so let's turn the volume on that to an irrational level. To the extreme. Its usually the writing style. Takes a way of thinking to the extreme because in reality of the joke, what is the difference between the spectrum?

It’s gets really annoying hearing “they don’t realize they’re being made fun of” all the time, but it’s also ridiculous JUST how many people genuinely only enjoy things because they hear slurs and think “oh hey that’s my good friend slur! That means this is funny!”

Same thing with Family Guy!!! I remember watching a producer or writer talking about it once about how basically the show is just really a nuance take of genuine issues in society, leftists view it as entertainment as we all know someone that ignorant, right winged people laugh thinking their beliefs/opinions are validated because the show makes a mockery of everyone but really is just an eye opener of how unempathetic and problematic society as a whole can be

South Park found a way to mock and make fun of anyone or anything without punching down at it. The only times it has come off as malicious was intentional and because whatever came at them first (Scientology for example).
