actually the quote goes back to classical Greece and is one of the principles of stoicism. when each of those men said it they were quoting I think Zeno the stoic, not Zeno of Elea, yeah there were two Zenos. but it might have been a different stoic philosopher.

I feel this. I’m not blind. I have multiple chronic illnesses. I pray for a few hours without symptoms and the energy to have an hour of some semblance of what others call normal activities. Thanks for the perspective and to remember to be thankful for what I do have.

A buddy uses a wheelchair and is also blind. He has said he'd rather be able to walk than see.. I can see and walk and would rather use a wheelchair than not see. But I don't functionally understand for 1 reason, boobies....👌🤣🥰

I have found it is difficult for sighted people to conceptualize being blind I have suggested to my friends put on a blindfold for 1 hour and you can't take it off good luck doing anything. and that fear you're feeling right now that panic of oh shit what do I yeah that never stops
