This is why the bg3 fandom is SO HARD for me to find fics to read. I'm filtering out oc, named reader, named tav, and every variation of it I can think of, and 90% of the fics are still oc x canon 🥀🥀

I forever think of the fanfic I once started reading and immediately dropped because not only was the “Yn” named, they had a backstory that made it VERY clear they were someone’s oc, and an actual image of what they looked like! Every person in the comments was going “hey, this is clearly an x oc fic why’s the title literally x reader?” And the author would go “well you’re reading the fic and technically you can project onto her”.
