That's why I don't watch trailers, only maybe the teasers. So many times I said "wow, that scene was amazing, it blew me away" and someone else said "yeah, that was already in the trailer". Of course it's still a great scene, but I love to experience it on the big screen the first time not in a too long trailer.

Using that same example, even the smallest detail has HUGE IMPLICATIONS. If the protagonist went to the bathroom at the 1-hour mark, then I can infer they remain alive until then. This means that any dangerous situation they’re put in has no stakes for me because I know they will survive! The same can be applied to other things too!

Oh man, I’m the same! My sister thought I was insane because I avoided trailers like the plague, any mention of the movie, etc. But that’s the experience I want to have! I want to go in blind and be surprised by everything!! Now her boyfriend has joined me in avoiding trailers and such lol She’ll join us in the dark side soon enough~

a lot of modern trailers i leave watching them feeling like i just watched the whole movie so i get ur point on that, but at the same time how do you know what movies you want to watch if you don’t watch trailers?
