I think a lot of men are Bisexual, some like the comfort and nurturing qualities of a women but the brotherhood and intimacy with men. And it can be the other way around, they’re sexually attracted to women but they’re more emotionally attached to other men.

The deepest wounds I’ve experienced in my life didn’t come from men who desired other men, they came from DL (down-low) men who chose deception over truth, who used women to mask their shame and performed love while hiding from themselves. But I’m not a victim I’ve healed because I stopped betraying myself to protect someone else’s secret. I don’t deny red flags anymore. I don’t romanticize confusion. I see it, I recognize it, I accept it and I move on. I now realize that part of why I was attracted to these men is because I’ve always been attracted to femininity, to softness, to depth, to sensitivity. And that’s okay. But I no longer tolerate dishonesty wrapped in charm. I have more respect for a bisexual man who walks in his truth than a man who hides behind women while desiring men hurting both in the process just to protect a lie. There’s someone for everyone. When men stop hiding and start living their truth they’ll find the partners who were actually meant for them not the ones they use to maintain an illusion.
