had someone threaten to call the news because they were getting a property lien bc they didn't pay their trash for like 3 years. I said make sure you let the news know that you put your trash out for pick up every week knowing damn well you didn't pay your bill and didn't pay that bill for 3 years

I work at a call center and the second someone says they're going to contact a lawyer I provide our legal correspondence address and let them know I have to end the call.

This happened with a tenant from the property management I used to work for. She didn’t paid her utilities or rent and was gonna “call her lawyer” and “fix the problem at court” 🤣🤣🤣 I had to laugh

I had a tenant threaten to sue us because...well, because she's a nitwit, so I promptly told her that since she has decided to initiate legal action, we can no longer speak with her directly. She was told to have her lawyer contact us and we would provide them with our lawyers contact information. She called back and was told each time that we could not speak with her and to have her lawyer contact ours, then was told to have a nice day and hung up on. Once they threaten legal action, you should discontinue the conversation as an act of self preservation.
