There were so many times in this process of fat loss + muscle gain that I wanted to give up the end goal of walking on stage. It was so hard. So draining. So constant. And there were moments I just didn’t think I could handle it. And also felt like it was pulling me away from my kids and from being the best mom I could be. I rationalized it a hundred times in my head to feel justified in a decision to just quit. And then I thought about my kids. What example would I be setting for them if I worked so hard just to quit when it got tough? What would I be teaching them if I gave up so close to the finish line (yet still felt so far away.) What would I be showing them by example about what a lifestyle of wellness looks like AND pursuing a dream, if I just stopped short. And rationalized it. And justified it. I couldn’t do that. So, my kids, actually, were the reason I kept going and saw it the whole way through. Even through the hardest parts of it, they were on my mind. And the first thing I did when I got off that stage was bolted to run and hug my babies. My ultimate prize. 🏆 Thank you Jesus for my 6 precious gifts.
