I work at hospital. Every time a baby is born a little jingle plays over the hospital speaker. Everytime I hear that little jingle I quietly whisper I am sorry to newborn baby. I am sorry for this world they are being born into. They deserve much better.

This is slightly off topic, but also not really. My daughter is about to start her junior year of high school. I legit can’t encourage her to do much of anything right now. Excitement for the future? For becoming an adult in this world? I have guilt bringing her into it in the first place

They told an entire generation of kids "don't have kids you can't afford", made having kids unaffordable for the masses and are now shocked that we aren't having kids because now they want grandkids to post on socials media and otherwise ignore. This isn't surprising.
