As a person who worked in luxury retail, ALL OF THIS. The rich are wearing LABELS! Sometimes very gaudy labels and sometimes very discreet but they’re wearing it. And they’re buying it 45 pieces at a time every new collection.

This is why attempting to dress to look rich doesn’t work. Chasing after brands that signal wealth won’t fool anyone. Fashionable people buy fashion because they love it and incorporate it into their own unique wardrobes that is a mix of price points.

My fave part about the LV store is how casual they state the prices. I went to LV to get my passport book stamped (it was a gift) saw the cutest little number (im talking a bag the size of a pro basketball players hand) and asked how much it was — she said “oh that one is 65” I said 65 HWAT.. she said 6500 and I was relieved and then said wait 6500.. USD?? 😂
