@ladydragonjj: These are my current feelings, and feelings CAN change but thats where im at with it currently. #fantasticfour #mcu #thefantasticfour #reedrichards #suestorm #johnnystorm #bengrimm
Wandavision wasn’t mid or sloppy at all and I will argue that forever.

Shang-Chi, Black Widow, Thunderbolts*, and FF were all so good because they were focused on telling their own stories. I pray that whenever they start doing MCU X-Men they let them mostly sit in their own corner of the MCU…

Regarding Endgame: A thing isn’t beautiful because it lasts. It was a privilege to witness it. (Paraphrasing Vision)

I am genuinely shocked that people liked this movie. I personally felt no life or passion from it. It was so hard for me to immerse myself in the movie and the characters felt hollow. I’m glad so many people enjoyed this movie but it is definitely my least favorite mcu film. It was too safe and tried to be campy while also taking itself too serious. I liked the set design and cgi but thats it

The MCU started as stand alone films first. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, yes they had connections but those weren’t really made until the first Avengers film. They’re trying too hard right now to mesh everything together but it just makes it all feel dry or like they’re trying too hard.

MCU benched their best character… the Scarlet Witch.

More standalone films, and less crossovers

I gave up on the MCU cause too many of my fave characters got shafted or sidelined. But this was a fun movie, thank god this movie just jumped into them being established

I think endgame can be replicated one more time with Doomsday & Secret Wars as a way to be a big send off to all of us who grew up with marvel movies from Blade 1998 to now

I think what Marvel somehow failed to realize is that we only care about the broader universe and crossovers because we were made to connect with and love the characters in their solo films. I haven’t paid attention to the mcu in years, then saw thunderbolts on a whim and absolutely LOVED it. Now I’m excited for Doomsday because I want to see this team that I like interact with other people.

My problem is that I didn’t watch it as a stand-alone, so when they defeated Galactus with such ease, I was like “well that was underwhelming.” Yes, it was Reed’s brain that brought him down, but watching stronger heroes struggle against weaker villains makes me think “huh?” — I feel like it’s fine to skip origin stories, but we don’t have to jump straight to the strongest villains in the universe. There’s a middle ground that we’re missing. I miss when superheroes were still getting familiar with their powers, and the villain was just dropping someone off a skyscraper.

That’s why I liked Superman and was confused why people were mad at the end credits. Superman was it’s own and even the cameos didn’t make it seem like anything was coming

Ironheart reminded me that I no longer trust the MCU to finish the plotlines it raises between projects, so if this really does work as a stand-alone, that could be very refreshing.

Thunderbolts should have been released way earlier and they should have been doing a bunch of movies set in their own universes with weird concepts so that we’d be excited to see both new characters while making us wonder what established characters are up to

I honestly felt the opposite but I'm coming from a deep comics background so it felt like the shadow of Avengers Doomsday was holding the story back.
