I took a money management class in H.S. not a popular class at all only 12 kids (most of my classes had 32+) Taxes, budgeting, consumerism... The first thing the teacher said was "don't listen to anyone about money." What he ment was do your own research (not internet comments "I did my own research.") make your own choices. Finance is not the same for me as it is for you. A 60 yr old teacher and a 17 year old student have different money goals. Influences may light the match, but you have to start the fire, and tend the fire.
