i've had gestational diabetes in both of my pregnancies, both ONLY diet controlled, first baby was measuring 99th percentile the whole pregnancy and was born at 37+6 weighing 3.7kg (8.1lbs), and now with my second pregnancy (again, i have gestational diabetes this time around too) baby is measuring 19th percentile and only weighing about 2kg (4lbs) at 35 weeks. gestational diabetes is SO weird 😭

With my first, I never did the glucose test didn’t even know it was a thing until after I had him because they asked if I ever found out my results and I was like what the hell is that and with my second I was too late to do my glucose testbecause I ended up missing the appointment. They were going to do it at due to not having transportation and so they had me check them myself and on day two my levels were like 120 range so they made me come in and induced me.

They should’ve sent you to an endocrinologist! I’m on my third pregnancy with it. It sounds like you were able to be diet controlled which is awesome. It’s not uncommon to not need insulin! I unfortunately do. Glad you and baby are healthy!!

I had the same experience with my singleton. But with my twins, it was awful! Crazy!

alot of woman fail the glucose test with he drink. my midwife just allowed me to test myself for 2weeks and it was more accurate then the drink .

my brother is type 1 diabetes and he is around 140 most of the time 80 is low but not to low

I had a rollercoaster of a time with my gestational diabetes with my 7 year old. I stg my placenta was out to kill us 😂 if anyone has any particular questions I can try to help!

Same here. Glucose levels have been great the whole time and baby is actually measuring small in 3 percentile. Been questioning my diagnosis the whole time
