@emilyyy.wilson: This week has been hard, isolating, lonely, emotional. I’ve had to say no to doing things that I’d normally jump at the opportunity to do. To me, I don’t feel like I’m really missing out, I’m choosing to do and not do what I feel is in the best interest of my knee. What’s been tough for me, is fear of what other people are thinking. Thinking I’m being a wuss, lazy, babying my injury, etc. that’s the hard part. I was in the middle of making my breakfast this morning, dropped everything, went to my room and cried. I felt the feelings, cried it out, and then I got up and kept going. I’m not letting my knee win, and I refuse to let my emotions set me back. So just know, I’m preaching that mindset changes everything, and I stand on that hill, but I also want you to know it’s okay to cry, and feel the emotions. But feel it, cry it out, and move forward. #acl #injuredathlete #fitnessmotivation #aclrecovery

So real! The lows are low, but are never shown. Also, it’s so weird recording the lows for me haha

Keep your head up and keep crushing this!! I’m fixing to have my second acl reconstruction and this time meniscus repaired. What is the pad you are using to rest your foot on while you are rowing? I was just talking about this at our gym yesterday and need to get this so I can continue training to help keep my sanity!

Hey! Thanks for posting this real take on the post-op life. You seem so strong and like you’re making great progress. What normally triggers the lows? I have my surgery coming soon top.
