@menendezofficial1: This part of Lyle’s testimony breaks my heart. Lyle was sent away to a soccer camp by his parents and the boys were able to call their parents from home. Lyle was extremely homesick. He was crying and upset and he just wanted to go home and he asked his mother if he could talk to his dad and tell him the reason why he wants to go home. Kitty refused and then her and Lyle had a little argument about the situation. And then got to a point where he was told he’d be staying an extra week and so on and there’s nothing he could do about it. It got to a point where Lyle would call every single day and he heard his mother decline the call, and say how we did not want to answer the phone. That made me extremely upset and embarrassed to the point where even though he called every single day and there was no answer he would pretend that he was talking on the phone to his parents because he felt embarrassed to go to the other boys in his camp and say that his parents didn’t want to speak to him. Because the other boys, they would speak to their parents and tell them about the conversations, whereas for Lyle his parents wouldn’t answer or give him the time of day to talk to him.
