Not sure about "original" but it's definitly not the only patch of temperate rainforest in Britain, I know of projects that are working to conserve, restore and rebuild them. Plant Life UK have a temperate rainforest project and North Wales Wildlife Trust have been looking at restoring 1 on their Bryn Ifan nature reserve. If you're visiting Wistman's, please pay attention to the sign and don't go inside. Also there have been cases of people taking the moss off the trees. If you're a visitor, please respect the forest and enjoy it's beauty!

It's not the ONLY part at all!! I have a book on the subject and there are several small areas up and down these isles... mostly on the Western edge.

Imagine if all of the UK looked this mystical. Its like a fairy tale, all the beautiful moss and lichen on the rocks and trees. I would get lost in that forest and never want to come out.

I just imagined how embarrassing it would be if you got lost in there because you kept walking straight down lengthways and kept getting turned around and just gave up and sat on the floor and then some hikers find you a couple days later like “wth are you doing man? 20 steps left and you’re out of here.” And you just nearly gave up on life because you thought you were never gonna make it out. 😂
