It's important to note... they dominate here, because they do everything better than any other store. Better customer service, store brand that is often better than name brands, great meat quality, great produce, better employees, better management, better vibe, etc... etc...

H-E-B will buy land, sit in it till it’s paid off. Then won’t even start building until they have the funds to out right pay for the building and construction. The DAY it opens it’s already turning a profit.

in 2020 they were voted the number 1 grocery store in America, even trhough they are only in Texas and gave all their employees/partners a $100 bonus to all employees... you can look it up.

I work for HEB and during the ice/snow storm a few years ago power went out at my HEB and the store manager told everyone in line to just take their groceries for free.
