This is the funniest comparison because you’re absolutely right! Teachers are keeping your kids full time Monday-Friday and they’re complaining about having to buy an extra box of 50 cent crayons and get mad when the teacher use their own money to go on vacation.

it’s not changed either, like the biggest thing i’m begging parents to realize is KIDS DONT KEEP TRACK OF SHIT. say your kid has a pack of pencils the beginning of the year, THAT NEXT WEEK those pencils are GONE. not bc teachers but bc kids can’t keep track of shit!! now think about all the other shit that’s not used daily??? you think a kid is gonna remember they have a pack of glue sticks in their desk??? not until the most inappropriate time to take out glue sticks and now they don’t have any glue cuz they put it all on their hands to peel off. i’m so sick of parents finding ways to ignore their RESPONSIBILITY of choosing to be a parent. there are so many reasons to have extra school supplies !!!! not to mention all these kids with parents complaining are the ones who will need the extra supplies bc their momma or dad didn’t set their kids up for success.

This whole debate has helped to identify thr parents who don’t have any supplies at home. No coloring, writing, or crafting is taking place there. Straight screens. Bc any parent who has these things at home knows how often you have to replace crayons, pencils, etc at home
