Consistency used to be rewarded, now it’s if you win one race your locked into the championship. It doesn’t matter how consistent you are. The old system was you didn’t have to win a race but if you were consistently in the top 5 you had a good chance to win a championship.

It’s the biggest thing preventing me from really getting into nascar and not being a casual viewer like I am now is the championship format, I just can’t take it seriously. I mean I’ll tune into the final race to see who won so it’s effective in that stance but it’s pushing me from caring about any of the rest.

Nascar must come up with a better way to crown a champion, im not faulting logano for his championship, he played the game he was given, but that was a black eye for Nascar and how he got crowned the champion

The 10 race would be great if they change the 10 tracks every year & make it a variety of track types too. Make it to where it’s only a track we visit once that year.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it as much as we want. The full seasons format. I think NASCAR is gonna go as far as to ignore the most influential guys and keep the current playoff format. It's here to stay unfortunately

They could go back to the chase style. Last 10 races is the top 16 in points seeded by bonus pointe for winning. Whoever collects the most points in the last 10 weeks wins…

My problem with the playoffs is consistency doesnt matter. Its really all just luck. You could win every race and go to phoenix, you dnf because a wreck collected you and still lose the championship. Or be completely no where in the season like Burton was, and show up in the final race and win, and keep doing that because thats how it works. If we keep the playoffs, get rid of the round of 4. Last year was NOT the best 4 drivers in the field. Even if Martinsville didnt end the way it did, that was not the best drivers to fight for a championship aside from reddick and blaney. But I get it, it creates drama and makes a close battle

GO BACK TO THE OLD POINTS!! Give points for leading a lap points for leading the most laps. If you run away with it so be it. Means you had a consistent year
