✨Comment “Guide” for my full blog post on Annecy, France 🇫🇷 including recommendations 👋 I’m @thepointsflygirl and I’m a lawyer that travels as much as possible (by strategically using credit card points) and here to show you how to do it too AND sharing tips from my travels This French town, with Swiss views, is straight out of a postcard 📍We came by train from Paris (3h 45m) but it’s even closer to Geneva—just over an hour away. Things to do: 🍴Take a cooking class (booked via Viator + earned 15x points thanks to Rakuten!) and got amazing local restaurant recs: – Brasserie Brunet: My husband still dreams about it – Kava: Cozy, charming, and the best crème brûlée I’ve ever had (yes, in my life) – Racine: Elevated & seasonal. It’s recommended you make a reservation 🚤 Rent a boat on Lake Annecy (We used ClickAndBoat.com) no license needed. Swam in crystal-clear water and soaked up the views. 📍Old town is absolutely worth it. Go early to beat the crowds (and the heat), but avoid getting caught in the touristy restaurants as there’s so many good ones (I have more in my blog post) 🏨 Stayed at the Moxy—great value, short walk to the train station and walkable to Old Town. It’s owned by Marriott so you can use or earn Marriott points here. Would I return? In a heartbeat. Just maybe pair it with Geneva, not Paris + South of France (like we did) unless you’re okay with long train days. 😣 . #annecy #francetravel #budgettravel #luxurytravel Annecy Itinerary | French Villages worth visiting
